Egyptian Citrus Exporter
Calibrated Navel and Valencia oranges, mandarins, lemons and Star Ruby grapefruit — certified, documented and reefer-shipped to EU and GCC import programs.
Egypt is one of the world's largest citrus exporters, and its season fills the gap when Mediterranean and Northern-Hemisphere supply runs short. From November through May, Egyptafresh coordinates export-grade citrus from verified Egyptian growers and packhouses — Navel and Valencia oranges, traditional Baladi and sweet Sukkari, Fremont and Murcott mandarins, Adalia (Eureka) lemons, and Star Ruby grapefruit. Every program is calibrated to size, pre-cooled, and shipped under temperature-controlled reefer with the full documentation EU and Gulf buyers require. We are not a single farm — we qualify supply across multiple growing regions so volume and calibration stay consistent through the season.
Citrus Varieties We Export
Navel orange — the first orange of the season (Dec–Mar), round, deep-orange and easy to peel, calibrated across nine size grades from 62–96 mm. Valencia — the premier juicing orange (mid-Jan–May), bright, sweet and high in juice yield. Baladi — the aromatic traditional Egyptian orange, strongly recognised across GCC retail. Sukkari — a low-acid, very sweet specialty variety for premium Gulf programs. Mandarins — Fremont, Minneola and Murcott, easy to peel. Adalia (Eureka) lemon — sour and aromatic. Star Ruby grapefruit — large, golden-skinned with deep-red flesh.
Season & Availability
The Egyptian citrus window runs roughly November to May. Navel and Baladi lead from December, Sukkari runs December–February, and Valencia carries the late season from mid-January into May, with mandarins and lemons extending availability across the window. This timing is the commercial advantage — it covers the European and Gulf retail off-season when local and other-origin supply is thin.
Packing & Cold Chain
Standard formats are telescopic cartons, 7.5 kg open trays for retail by-count programs, 15 kg open trays for by-caliber wholesale, and 600 kg bins for repacking. Fruit is pre-cooled and shipped reefer at 4–6 °C with temperature reports per container. Calibration follows the nine-grade citrus scale (calibers 1–9, 89–96 mm down to 62–68 mm) so retail and wholesale programs can be planned precisely.
Certifications & Documentation
We align supply with the food-safety certifications EU and GCC buyers expect — GLOBALG.A.P., BRCGS, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 at qualified growers and packhouses. Every shipment travels with a complete documentation pack: commercial invoice, packing list, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, bill of lading, EUR.1 where applicable, and halal certification for GCC destinations.
