Egyptafresh

    Egyptian Vegetables & Onions Exporter

Spunta potatoes, red and golden onions, garlic, sweet potatoes and tomatoes — calibrated, cured and shipped to EU and Gulf programs.

Egypt is a top-five global exporter of potatoes and onions, with two harvests a year that bridge European and Gulf supply gaps. Egyptafresh coordinates export-grade Spunta potatoes, red and golden onions, fresh and dry garlic, Baladi sweet potatoes, and greenhouse and field tomatoes from verified growers. Field heat and curing are the make-or-break steps for alliums and potatoes, so pre-cooling, curing and ventilation are managed from harvest through loading.

    Vegetables & Onions We Export

Potatoes — Spunta (with Diamant, Lady Rosetta and Hermes for processing), two harvests (Feb–Jun and Sep–Dec), calibrated 45–75 mm. Red and golden onions — sizes 40/60 to 90/120 mm, cured and mesh-packed. Garlic — white, Baladi, red, Chinese, green and dry. Sweet potatoes — Baladi, first-class A grade. Tomatoes — R196, Bar 84 and cherry, calibrated 3–5 cm, near year-round.

    Season & Availability

Potatoes run two windows — spring (Feb–Jun) from Upper Egypt and autumn (Sep–Dec) from the Delta. Onions and garlic are cured for extended availability, and tomatoes are near year-round from greenhouse and field. This staggered calendar lets buyers plan continuous supply programs from one origin.

    Packing & Cold Chain

Onions, garlic and potatoes ship in 10, 15 and 25 kg mesh bags (plus 1,250 kg jumbo or 2–2.5 kg consumer mesh inside master cartons for EU retail). Tomatoes ship in 2–5 kg cartons, pre-cooled to 10–12 °C and never below 8 °C. Cured alliums ship at 0 °C with low humidity; potatoes at 6–8 °C, never below 4 °C.

    Certifications & Documentation

We align supply with the food-safety certifications EU and GCC buyers expect — GLOBALG.A.P., BRCGS, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 at qualified growers and packhouses. Every shipment travels with a complete documentation pack: commercial invoice, packing list, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, bill of lading, EUR.1 where applicable, and halal certification for GCC destinations.
